From the Heart of La Réunion to Miss Europe Continental: Siloé’s Journey Through Fashion, Respect, and Authenticity

Hello everyone, my name is Siloé, I am 20 years old and I proudly represent France, more specifically La Réunion, a beautiful island located in the Indian Ocean. La Réunion is a multicultural island full of diversity, warmth and strong values. I currently live there, surrounded by my family, my culture and everything that has shaped the person I am today.

– What is it like growing up in La Réunion? What do you love most about your home?

Growing up in La Réunion is a true blessing. It is a place where many cultures, religions and traditions live together in harmony. What I love the most is this “vivre ensemble” spirit — the respect, tolerance and kindness people have toward one another. It taught me from a very young age to be open-minded and respectful of differences.

– What kind of girl were you as a child?

As a child, I was curious, determined and full of dreams. I have always enjoyed challenging myself and stepping out of my comfort zone. Even when I was shy at times, I always had this inner strength that pushed me to go further.

– What is the most important value your family taught you?

The most important value my family taught me is respect. Respect for others, for cultures and for differences. Coming from a multicultural island, tolerance and unity are values that are very important to me and that I carry with me every day.

– If you could change one thing in the world, where would you start?

I would start with bringing more kindness and understanding between people. I believe the world would be a better place if we listened to each other more and judged each other less.

– Which woman inspires you the most in life?

The woman who inspires me the most is my mother. She is a very strong, courageous and caring woman. She has always supported me, encouraged me and taught me important values such as respect, determination and kindness. Seeing her strength every day motivates me to always give the best version of myself and never give up on my dreams.

– When did your passion for fashion begin?

My passion for fashion began quite young. I have always loved the elegance, confidence and creativity that fashion can express. Over time, pageantry and modeling helped me discover even more this passion.

– For you, is fashion only about beauty or also a way to express yourself?

For me, fashion is much more than beauty. It is a way to express personality, emotions and confidence. Through fashion, you can show who you are without even speaking.

– What style represents you the most?

I would describe my style as elegant and natural. I like outfits that make me feel confident, feminine and comfortable at the same time.

– What is the strongest emotion you have felt on stage?

The strongest emotion I feel on stage is definitely the adrenaline and the feeling of self-improvement. I love the excitement before going on stage and the feeling of pushing myself beyond my limits. For me, pageantry is not about competing against others, but about becoming the best version of myself.

– What does participating in Miss Europe Continental mean to you?

Participating in Miss Europe Continental represents an important step in my journey. I have already participated in departmental and national pageants, and for me this international competition feels like the continuation and culmination of everything I have worked for. It is an opportunity to challenge myself, meet incredible people and live a unique experience without regrets.

– Once the spotlight is gone, what message would you like to leave in people’s hearts?

I would like people to remember me as a girl who gave everything until the end, who never gave up and who followed her dreams with determination and authenticity. I want to inspire others to believe in themselves, to push beyond their fears and to never have regrets in life.
