Kia ora! I’m Lindsay, Miss New Zealand for Miss Europe Continental 2025. I am a proud Māori woman from Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Awa & Ngāti Whakaue and it is an honour to represent my culture on the international stage.
By day I am a flight attendant and model based in Brisbane, Australia. I love the gym, music, and just being authentically me.
I’m excited to share my culture, my energy, and my heart with the world.
When did your interest in modeling start? Have you always wanted to do this, or is it a recently developed passion?
My passion for modelling began at a young age — my mum first signed me to an agency when I was just 10 years old. After moving to Australia in 2013, I won a competition that led to another agency opportunity. As I grew older, I decided to focus on my love for sport and put modelling on hold for a while. Later, when I began one of my dream jobs as a flight attendant, fate stepped in — a passenger noticed me and scouted me for her agency. Since then, the rest has been history, and that moment reignited my journey, bringing me to where I am today.
How important do you think self-confidence is?
Self-confidence is everything!!! It’s about believing in yourself, even when things get tough, and showing up as your true, authentic self. When you’re confident, you don’t just stand out. You inspire others to do the same and light up any room.
Is there a moment in your life that has particularly marked you?
A moment that has truly marked me was when I became a flight attendant. It was a dream I’d always had, and achieving it reminded me that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and step outside your comfort zone. That experience taught me independence, confidence, and the beauty of connecting with people from all walks of life. If it wasn’t for starting this career, my modelling would not have kickstarted again.
What is happiness for you?
Happiness to me is being true to myself, doing what I love, and appreciating the little moments that make life feel alive.
What advice would you like to share with other participants?
Stay true to who you are, walk with confidence, and use your journey to lift others along the way.
