The Unbreakable Light of Ukraine: An Interview with Viktoriia Niemtseva

My name is Viktoriia Niemtseva, and I am proudly representing Ukraine. I am originally from the Vinnytsia region. I currently work as a cook in a restaurant. Through my participation in Miss Europe Continental, I want to show the world how beautiful, strong, and courageous Ukrainian women are. Even during the hardest times for our country, we continue to work, create families, raise children, support our loved ones, and stand with our defenders. Our strength has many faces- gentle, resilient, loving, and unbreakable.

What do you expect from the Miss Europe Continental?

From Miss Europe Continental, I expect personal growth, new experiences, and the opportunity to meet inspiring women from different countries. I hope to share culture, values, and stories that unite us as women who believe in their dreams. I would like to show the world the light, talent, and spirit of Ukrainian women on the international stage.

What are your plans for the future?

My future plans include continuing to develop myself in the modeling industry, working on personal growth, and building a platform where I can inspire and support other women. I want to use my voice and my journey to motivate girls to believe in themselves, regardless of the challenges they may face.

Is there a moment in your life that has particularly marked you?

The war changed my life. I lost my job and was forced to emigrate to the Netherlands. I arrived alone, at the age of 20 – without documents, without knowing the language, and without anything familiar. I had to build my life from zero, step by step. Over time, I found work, a place to live, new opportunities and slowly learned to stand strong again.

Modeling has always been my childhood dream, and being in Europe opened new doors. That is how I began developing myself in this field believing that dreams do come true if you walk toward them, even slowly, even though pain.

What advice would you like to share with other participants?

My advice is to never underestimate your inner strength. Be gentle with yourself, stay true to your values, and never compare your path to someone else’s. Every woman has her own light and her own time to shine. Believe in yourself even when no one else does one brave step can change your entire life.
