From Wall Street to the Atelier, founder Zoe Wang dresses the Miss Europe Continental finalists in Italian silk, Swiss embroidery and hand-placed Swarovski crystals.1
Based in New York and featured in Vogue, Maison ZIFAN is a luxury lingerie and swimwear house built on a single belief: femininity is not just a look, it is a feeling. It is a state of being. The quiet, elegant confidence a woman carries within herself. Crafted with Italian silk, Swiss embroidery and hand-adorned Swarovski crystals, each piece is designed to be the first and most intimate layer of a woman’s power.
Behind the house is Zoe Wang. A Cornell graduate, she built her early career in quantitative finance on Wall Street. The discipline stayed, but the calling changed. She wanted to empower women through the way fashion transforms posture, presence and self-perception. She brought that sharp, analytical eye into the atelier, and today Maison ZIFAN is driven by pure devotion to that idea.
The name itself was intentional. ZIFAN does not exist in any dictionary. It happens to be her real name, but she chose it to strip away preconceptions and let women discover the meaning for themselves. The brand was never about the founder. It is about the woman who wears it: her most feminine, powerful and beautiful self.
Zifan’s aesthetic lives in a tension Zoe finds endlessly fascinating: extreme femininity paired with absolute confidence. She calls it the ‘goddess state’. It is not something you have to become. It is already inside every woman, waiting to be worn.
If she had to describe the Maison Zifan woman in three words, they would be: Femininity. Power. Grace.
The design process always begins with a spark: the symmetry of classical architecture, a Renaissance painting, a texture in nature. It is an intuitive feeling before it becomes language. From there Zoe personally handpicks every lace, embroidery and silk, reviewing hundreds of patterns or designing from scratch with her team. The rule is constant: it must complement a woman’s natural beauty, never overpower it. It has to be love at first sight.
Sketches become technical packs through one to two months of intense back-and-forth with pattern makers. Then come two, sometimes three rounds of sampling, adjusting fit, weight, drape and every minor detail. A piece can be visually stunning and still fail if it does not feel incredible on the body. The woman is the protagonist. The garment exists to serve her comfort, her femininity, her power.
Much of the luxury is invisible. Because lingerie is the first thing to touch the skin, Maison Zifan holds its materials to an uncompromising standard. Only couture-grade silk, embroidery and lace, all OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. To find the right partners, Zoe and her team visited more than 30 factories, going straight to the production lines, sitting with artisans and sewers to ensure the work and the people were treated with respect. That devotion extends to the smallest elements. Even the custom hardware is gold-plated and branded. Not because anyone will necessarily notice, but because every detail must be intentional.
A personal ritual shaped the house. For Zoe, getting dressed is the first decision of the day, the first thing you say to yourself before the world sees you. Lingerie is an emotional anchor. True grace cannot exist without comfort. If a garment restricts you, you cannot fully own your feminine power.
That philosophy made the partnership with Miss Europe Continental feel natural. This is not a pageant about surface beauty. Zoe sees in the contestants the exact energy she designs for: intelligence, real ambition and purpose. For her, ‘beauty with purpose’ means a woman’s beauty is simply the outer expression of her inner strength. Purpose, story and drive are what make her captivating.
On an international stage, fashion must do more than look stunning. It has to feel like her.
When a piece becomes a costume, it distracts. When it is designed well, tailored perfectly and truly comfortable, a psychological shift happens: a quiet confidence that frees her to focus entirely on her presence and her story. True fashion does not change who a woman is. It amplifies her.
For the finals, Maison Zifan created an exclusive swimwear look specifically for Miss Europe Continental. The silhouette is a balconette, chosen for structure, support and grace on a global stage. It holds without restricting movement. Swarovski crystals are band-placed across each piece so every movement catches the light differently. It was designed for women who have earned their place, who command a room before taking a single step.
What is next is bigger than new stores. Zifan is moving beyond lingerie and swimwear into ready-to-wear, carrying that effortless elegance from intimate morning moments through to night. The house is also planning collaborations with inspiring women worldwide, not faces for a campaign but partners with real stories and real confidence. The goal is to build a world-class luxury house that defines this era, the name women think of when they want to feel powerful, beautiful and entirely themselves in every room they enter.
Zoe’s advice to a young woman who wants to build a brand is direct: lead with passion and trust your instincts. If a vision keeps coming back, follow it. The path is rarely clear at the beginning. You just take the first step. There is no 99% commitment. You either fully commit or it remains a thought. Be open to mentors, seek wisdom, but protect your vision.
People will have opinions, some well-meaning and completely wrong for what you are building. Learn to trust your own inner compass above the noise.
