My name is Valentyna. I’m originally from Ukraine, but I’ve been living in Switzerland for over 13 years. At the competition, I am representing Liechtenstein.
I work in the pharmaceutical field as a microbiology lab technician. We produce life-saving medicines for people with immune deficiencies, autoimmune diseases, hemophilia, and other serious conditions.
For the past six years, I’ve also been running a dress rental business in Switzerland, offering evening gowns and dresses for photo shoots. It’s something I truly enjoy — creating beautiful looks, working with a team, and expressing creativity.
I love traveling, sports, and exploring new things. I’m passionate about fashion and modeling, and I enjoy being in front of the camera.
I believe my curiosity, love for growth, and desire to inspire others brought me here — to this amazing experience.My motto: nothing is impossible if you have a goal and a promise to yourself to achieve it.
How did your passion for fashion start? Was there a moment or person that inspired your interest in this field?
My passion for fashion began with my very first private photo shoot in Ukraine. I rented a few beautiful dresses, and as soon as I put them on, something magical happened. It felt like a second skin — so natural, comfortable, and empowering. I felt like the best version of myself: confident, feminine, and free. All my fears and insecurities just melted away. That moment stayed with me for a long time.
Later, when I moved to Switzerland, I decided to create my own dress rental project — so that other women could experience the same transformation. Working on dress collections with my team is a truly creative process for me, a way to express my imagination and sense of beauty. I love not only designing and selecting these gowns, but also wearing them myself during photo shoots.
Sometimes I joke that maybe in a past life, I was a noble lady with a fabulous wardrobe! (A bit of humor — but who knows?:))
Do you believe that fashion is a way to express yourself? If yes, how do you do it?
Yes, I truly believe that fashion is one of the most beautiful ways to express yourself.
I’ve experienced how clothing can completely shift your energy and confidence. What you wear helps you step into a stronger, more open, or more creative version of yourself. It’s a silent form of communication.
In everyday life, I don’t walk around in ball gowns — though that would be fun!:) I work in a lab, so I choose elegant but practical outfits: tailored suits, stylish trousers, and sometimes dresses. For me, fashion is about feeling authentic and comfortable, while still standing out.
I admire people with a unique style guided more by intuition than trends. That, to me, is the true essence of fashion — showing who you are without saying a word.
What do you think about fast fashion and sustainable fashion?
Fast fashion and sustainable fashion are two opposing approaches with different impacts on the environment and society.
Fast fashion makes trendy clothing accessible at a low cost, but it often comes with unethical production conditions and high environmental risks, such as pollution and waste. On the other hand, sustainable fashion focuses on durability, eco-friendly materials, and ethical practices, which helps reduce the negative impact on the planet and improve labor conditions.
Shifting towards sustainable fashion requires conscious decisions and a more mindful approach to shopping, which can be an important step towards more responsible consumption and care for the environment.
Participating in a beauty contest is definitely a unique experience. What motivated you to embark on this adventure? What are your expectations and what do you hope to learn from this experience?
For me, participating in a beauty contest is not only a chance to see everything from the inside, but also an exciting new challenge.
I’ve long been connected to the world of beauty — through photo shoots, working with models and photographers, and attending fashion shows. But being part of such a prestigious contest is a special experience, a chance to feel it personally and become part of the process.
It’s also important for me to meet new people, hear their stories, and share experiences. I truly believe that success comes through people, communication, and new opportunities. This contest is not only about personal growth but also about inspiring future projects.
It’s a challenge for me too: I’ve worked as a photo model, but I’ve never taken part in a contest like this. Still, I wouldn’t be myself if I turned down this chance. Curiosity and a love for discovery always guide me — and I believe this contest will bring inspiration and valuable experience.
What advice would you give to other candidates?
Girls, I truly believe that you are all already winners just by participating in this competition. Taking the step and deciding to participate is already an achievement, it’s already a victory. Tell us about your future projects.
When it comes to future projects, I am focused on developing my own brand related to fashion and style.
In the near future, I plan to expand my business by adding new, exquisite dresses to my collection and taking the next step — offering them not only for rent but also for sale, including internationally. This will open up new opportunities for both creative and entrepreneurial growth.
What makes me unique is that I combine creativity with a business mindset. I not only participate in photo shoots as a model, but I also help other women feel beautiful, confident, and elegant by offering outfits that highlight their individuality.
I’m confident that participating in this contest will inspire me to take new steps and open doors to even more exciting projects and meaningful connections.
