Hello people! Let’s read the interview of our Miss Stephanie:
‘’– Tell something about yourself, what you do in life, how you like to spend your free time, your best quality, your worst flaw.
My name is Stephanie van Driel and I represent the Benelux. I’m studying for my bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science and I work as a model. In my free time I love to do fitness, do karate, dance, play piano, sing and travel. My best quality is that I have a heart of gold. I am very loyal and I want the best for everyone. My biggest flaw is that I am pretty chaotic. Even though I am a very calm person, I’m all over the place sometimes.
– Who inspired you in your life / career?
My family. Every person in my family is very strong and smart. They showed me that you can achieve your goals, no matter how many obstacles stand in your way. Watching their journeys taught me to stay committed to my goals and to believe in my ability to overcome setbacks, even when things seem impossible. They all have showed me what real perseverance and dedication looks like.
– Is there in particular an event or something in your life that has marked you?
Many years of my life have been very rough. A lot of tough events would be going on at the same time for years. It has made me into the strong woman who I am today. I think it’s so important to always be kind. You never know what someone is going through. Sometimes the people with the biggest smiles on their face are struggling the most, so you should always be kind.
– What is happiness for you?
To me, happiness means finding joy in everyday moments. Like peaceful mornings, fun or cozy evenings, time with family and friends and making progress in something that’s important to you. It means being able to do the things that I love and to be able to spend time with the people who I love.
– What is the phrase or quote you will never forget? Why?
Always be grateful for what you have. I think it’s so important to appreciate everything you have in life. Even the things you may see as little things. Your “normal” everyday life could be a life someone else is wishing and praying for.
– How do you feel about being here at Miss Europe Continental?
I feel honored to represent my nation during the Miss Europe Continental pageant. This pageant has the power to make a meaningful difference in society by using our voices to create positive change, and I am proud to be part of something that empowers women and makes impact. Many cultures are being brought together. Each with its own unique beauty. Learning from other cultures always broadens your horizon and every culture has aspects to learn from.
– What does fashion represent for you?
To me, fashion is a form of art. People can express themselves through fashion and show parts of their personality through it, without saying a word. I would describe my personal style as elegant and sultry, reflecting my soft yet strong personality.
– How do you see yourself in ten years?
I aspire to lead a life that beautifully balances personal happiness with meaningful professional achievement. On a personal level, creating a loving family of my own with a strong and supportive home environment is important to me. Professionally, I aim to contribute to more impactful medical research. Work that improves lives and drives meaningful change in healthcare. I also envision owning my own business, one that empowers others.
– If you could make one wish come true, what would it be?
If I could make one wish come true, it would be for every person to be healthy. Both physically and mentally. When people feel well in their bodies and minds, they have energy and clarity. So many people around the world face challenges that affect their health and it can be incredibly difficult to live fully when you’re in pain or struggling. I wish everyone could have the strength, energy, and comfort they need to live their lives to the fullest. A healthy body and mind leads to healthier communities, and ultimately, a more empathetic and compassionate world.’’
