My greatest strength is my story.
I am a woman who combines the perseverance of an athlete, the curiosity of a researcher, and the courage of an entrepreneur. My life has been full of change, new beginnings, and victories—each achieved by overcoming serious challenges and rising again after many falls. Sport gave me strength and discipline, science gave me curiosity and faith in knowledge, and business taught me the courage to create something new. Later, I wanted more freedom and flexibility—so I transitioned into IT to combine meaningful work with the opportunity to live and work anywhere in the world.
At the same time, love and family have always remained my top priorities. I dream of a home where my daughter—my closest and dearest person—will be nearby, surrounded by friends, our two corgis, a hedgehog, a squirrel, and perhaps a big parrot who will boss everyone around. I would love to have a small chicken coop with quails, a garden with 26 roses, and a cozy library with large sunlit windows—because books have always been my refuge, helping me become stronger, wiser, and more tolerant toward myself and others.
I came to this beauty contest because I want to share my story—the story of a woman who has learned to embrace her authenticity and multifaceted nature, and has found strength in it. I know how important it is to allow yourself to be different—strong and vulnerable, intelligent and sensitive, firm and gentle. My path, like the path of many other women, shows that even when it feels like everything is falling apart, it is important to stay connected to yourself and keep believing in your worth. I want to inspire women to stop being afraid of showing their uniqueness and to be proud of it—because that is where true beauty and strength lie.
I am Olga Iastreb, and I am happy to represent Slovenia.
