Hello People! Today let’s meet better our Miss from Australia, Heather. About herself she says:
‘’I grew up in a really small country town and have been dancing for 20 years. I left home at 15 years old and experienced quite an ordeal of events through this time, however wanting to be a resilient role model for young girls always helped me surpass these challenges. I work in retail but enjoy side hustling in the creative arts industry! I teach young kids to dance and create, and have enjoyed supporting organisations for those in need. I like to spend my free time with my best friend, going for long walks or simply winding down at home. My best quality is my resilience & empathy. My worst flaw is my self esteem at times!
– Who inspired you in your life / career?
So many people, however I must say the idea of life itself has always inspired me. To persevere and embrace all feelings through both good and bad times. It’s been a very rocky journey, although the character development I’ve attained through these hurdles has always helped me further develop & reach the next level.
– Is there in particular an event or something in your life that has marked you?
When I was 16, I got to train with Australia’s leading dance company, Sydney Dance Company. It was an extraordinary experience as I was surrounded and led by the most incredible artists in my country & industry – it truly gave me a sense of myself I’d never experienced before.
– What is happiness for you?
The ability to be at peace in stillness. Life can be intense at times, so having the courage to have various perspectives, innately grants you happiness, no matter where you’re at in life.
– What is the phrase or quote you will never forget? Why?
“If you’re not changing, you’re choosing”
This quote resonates in so many ways. It’s simple yet speaks volume. It reminds me how much control I really do have of myself, and my path.
– How do you feel about being here at Miss Europe Continental?
So grateful. If you would’ve asked me previously if I’d ever make it to Europe, I probably would have said no, let alone going to represent my country. I couldn’t be more honoured to have this experience.
Fashions = personality. I’m all about ways to express yourself & I feel fashion is a major factor in my character and how I choose to showcase myself.
– How do you see yourself in ten years?
I hope to be a mother and have a strong family union of my own – to continue being an advocate for people who want to upscale & express their art & empathic nature. I love helping people fall in love with themselves and activating their fullest potential! I hope to do this professionally someday as well.
– If you could make one wish come true, what would it be?
More peace in the world. More resources available to those in need, whether that’s professionally or personally. I would love to bring the crown home to AU and create a platform to activate my goals, however more than anything, I wish for more kindness in all environments no matter what.’’
