My name is Hanna Josefsson, I’m 24 years old, and I’m proudly representing Sweden. I come from a background that might seem a bit unexpected in the pageant world. I work in maritime security, and I’m also trained as a security guard and X-ray operator. My everyday life is very structured and serious, which is why stepping into this world feels both exciting and refreshing.
In my free time, I enjoy modeling as a hobby, staying active, and expressing myself creatively. I’ve had some experience as a hair model and in fashion when I was younger, but this is my first time participating in something like this on such a big scale.
For the future, I want to continue growing, both personally and professionally. This experience has already inspired me to be more open to new opportunities, especially within modelling and international platforms.
This experience has made me realize how strong and capable I truly am. Before, I think I saw myself more from the outside, focusing on expectations and doubts. But now, I’ve started to recognize my own value from within.
Being part of this has shown me that being a woman is not about fitting into a certain mood. It’s about confidence, resilience, and daring to take space, even when you feel uncertain. I’ve learned to trust myself more, and that is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
The most challenging emotion has probably been self-doubt. When you step into a completely new environment surrounded by talented and beautiful women, it’s natural to question if you belong there.
There have been moments where I’ve felt vulnerable, but also moments where I’ve grown the most. Learning to manage those feelings, instead of letting them control me, has been one of the biggest challenges but also one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
‘’Many girls dream of being where you are right now. What is the reality of this experience versus the dream?’
The dream is often about the glamour, the stage, and the recognition, and of course, those parts are real and exciting. But the reality is much more emotional and personal than that.
It’s about stepping out of your comfort zone, dealing with pressure, and constantly growing. It’s not always easy, but that’s what makes it so meaningful. The experience is not just about how you look, but about who you become during the journey.
I stay grounded by reminding myself why I chose to do this in the first place. For me, it’s about growth, courage, and taking an opportunity I knew I would regret missing.
I also hold on to my identity outside of the competition. My work, my everyday life, and the people around me keep me connected to who I am. At the end of the day, I try to focus on being present, taking one step at a time, and not comparing my journey to anyone else’s.
I want to be remembered as someone genuine, kind, and strong. Not just for how I look, but for how I made people feel.
If I can leave an impression of warmth, honesty, and quiet confidence, then I feel like I’ve succeeded. For me, true impact comes from connection, not perfection.
“Wearing this sash is not a burden; it is my greatest honor.” Wearing this sash represents so much more than just a title. It represents courage, the courage to step into something unfamiliar and believe in myself.
For me, it’s truly an honor because it symbolizes a chance I chose to take, even when it felt uncertain. To represent my country, to stand on that stage, and to be part of something bigger than myself is something I will always be proud of.
It’s not a burden, because it doesn’t weigh me down – it lifts me up and reminds me of my strength.
