First of all, welcome to Miss Europe Continental! You’re officially one of the next Misses. Can you tell me something about yourself? Your name, where are you from and which country will you represent.
My name is Alice El Chidiac, and I’m proud to be represent Lebanon on stage. I’m an Agricultural Engineer graduated with distinction and completed my Master’s in Sustainable Agriculture in Greece through a full scholarship. I also work with an international organization based in Italy, I teach French to students in Canada, and I’m a part-time model. I believe in using every opportunity, whether academic or artistic, to create positive change.
If you should describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Three words that would describe me would be: ambition, justice and resilience. Ambition drives me forward, justice guides my actions, and resilience helps me rise above challenges.
What inspired you to take part in Miss Europe Continental, and how does it feel to represent Lebanon on such a stage?
I joined Miss Europe Continental because I have a message to share. I am not just a face; I am a voice.
When I was a child, my mother often worried that my ambition might one day break my heart. But today, as I stand here in this interview, I see that ambition has become my greatest strength. I am the voice of those who never dared to dream, for those afraid to step out of their comfort zone, and for those who were told that something is impossible. Coming from Lebanon has taught me resilience and courage, and I want to show the world the true strength and spirit of our people.
What do you hope people remember about you after Miss Europe Continental?
I hope people and the participants with me remember that you can be anything you want to be, that beauty, intelligence, and humility can exist together. What truly makes someone unforgettable is being authentic and staying true to who you are. I want to inspire others to embrace their individuality and shine confidently as themselves.
How did you parents or friend react about your participation? Do they support you?
At first, opinions were mixed and few were the people who actually knew, not because I didn’t want to make it official but because for me, I am doing this for myself. Some were thrilled, others cautious, they worried I might step away from my professional path. But I understand their concerns, and I believe that every person’s journey is unique. I prefer to experience things myself and form my own truth.
How do you think pageants can help empower women worldwide?
This question is very important and it is one of the main reasons I am participating. I think that pageants empower women by giving them a global platform to express their voices, values, and visions. They are no longer just about beauty, they are about confidence, leadership, and inspiring others to dream big.
Do you have a secret dream? If you could make one wish, come true, what would it be?
If I revealed it, it wouldn’t be a secret anymore! But one of my dreams would be becoming an activist and an influence for good — someone who wakes up every day determined to make a difference. We’re not born just to exist, but to create impact even in small things.
Do you have a personal motto? Or a quote that you like and represents you.
“Why be good when you can be excellent?” and “Hate always comes from below, never from above.”
These remind me to aim high and stay true to myself, no matter what.
How do you see yourself in ten years?
I don’t have a fixed image of the future, because life is unpredictable. But one thing is certain, I’ll be working to make the world at least a little better, even in small ways: through my work, a business that contributes to the community, or simply by uplifting people around me.
Lastly, if you could send one message to all the women watching you on stage, what would it be?
Dare. Dare to be, to dream, to achieve, to work hard. The ones who made it aren’t different or better, they just had the courage to start. So, gather your strength, follow your passion, and never stop believing in yourself, because when one woman dares, she opens the door for many others.
I would like to take a moment to thank all my amazing sponsors who supported me throughout this journey.
A heartfelt thank you to Roud. Corp for the incredible photography, Monica Couture for the stunning dress and Caricia Kaslik for the beautiful hair styling.
Also, a special thank you for the women in my family, especially my mother and grandmother for being my number 1 supporters.
