- You are on the official team of Fashion Designers of Miss Europe Continental Edition 12. How does it feel to be part of such a dynamic and established international team?
I feel truly blessed and honored to be part of the official team of designers for Miss Europe Continental Edition 12. This opportunity reflects not just hard work, but God’s grace in motion. Being recognized on such a prestigious and international platform reminds me that when you stay faithful to your God given vision and keep pushing forward, the right opportunities will eventually find you. This is one of those moments. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a community that celebrates fashion, beauty, talent, and impact on a global scale.
- Tell us about your Creativity and Passion:
a. What do you draw the most inspiration for your creations from?
As a creative with an IT background, I see the world through both a technical and artistic lens. My inspiration comes from a fusion of African heritage, modern luxury, modesty, royalty, and graceful individuality. Being Anglican by birth, my faith deeply informs my approach to fashion, beauty and purpose. I draw from culture, nature, texture, and the stories of powerful real women who inspire timeless elegance in every form. My designs aim to reflect a regal sense of identity while remaining modern and wearable.
- How would you describe the woman you draw for?
The AbbyPearl woman, whom I fondly call the AbbyPearl Royal is confident, radiant, and authentic. She walks into every room with grace, power, and purpose. Whether she’s stepping onto a red carpet, attending a gala, or expressing everyday elegance, she knows exactly who she is. She values modesty, luxury, and individuality. She uses fashion as a means of self-expression without compromise.
- Tell us about your future plans.
My vision is to expand AbbyPearl Empire into a globally recognized luxury fashion house rooted in African aesthetics, faith, royal heritage, and inclusive design. AbbyPearl Empire is already home to a flagship atelier in Nigeria, and I plan to launch a second flagship atelier here in the USA. I aim to collaborate with both local and international fashion houses, design for top officials, corporate leaders, and celebrities, and eventually establish a mentorship platform to empower emerging designers, especially young women across the world. Fashion is one of my biggest callings, and I intend to use it as a transformative force that elevates and empowers.
- What advice would you give to an aspiring fashion designer who dreams of pursuing this career?
This journey is powerful, but not always easy. Over the years, I’ve learned that in fashion designing, you grow through experience. Be persistent. Stay true to your creative identity and believe in your vision before you expect others to. Don’t be afraid to take bold steps, and never stop learning. There will be challenges, but each one teaches you something valuable. Also, remember that this Fashion industry is full of trends, but authenticity is your superpower. Build your skills, learn the business side, and surround yourself with people who support your dreams. Be patient, success in fashion is not a sprint; it’s a journey.
- What do you expect from this experience at Miss Europe Continental?
I expect this experience to be an unforgettable celebration of fashion, beauty, talent, culture, impact, international brand exposure and connection. I look forward to collaborating with fellow creatives, industry professionals, and unlocking more global opportunities. The thought of seeing my designs come alive on such a prestigious stage is iconic and deeply humbling. Being part of a platform that elevates artistry, and diversity is both empowering and inspiring.
I hope my work will not only make a bold impression on the world stage but also inspire the younger version of myself; Olutosin Akintunde, reminding her that with faith, resilience, and purpose, dreams do come true. I come into this experience with humility and a desire to grow, learn, and challenge myself in every aspect.
My goal is to create graceful, showstopping masterpieces that reflect the strength, elegance, and individuality of Miss Europe Intercontinental pieces that will announce her presence to the world and enhance both the pageant and my voice as a Fashion designer. This is more than just a showcase; it’s a moment of legacy, and I am proud to be part of it.
