Hi, my name is Alina. I’m 27 year old girl from Latvia, and my daily life revolves around beauty industry. When I finished high school, I wasn’t really sure what I want to do in life. I felt a bit lost, like many people do at that age. Then completely by accident, I ended up studying aesthetic cosmetology. At first, I wasn’t too passionate about that, but decided to stay and try. Than day by day, it started to grow on me and I saw how meaningful this work can be – Helping people feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin is the best I could choose. Now it takes up most of my daily life, and I genuinely enjoy this path.
– From your Instagram profile I can see your class and elegance: how important do you think it is to take care of your physical appearance nowadays?
Yes, physical appearance nowadays is important and we should always take care of ourselves, but appearance should never overshadow character – the key is balance between both. If you are beautiful on the inside, you will always appear attractive on the outside as well.
– How did your passion for the type of dance you do come about? Is it just a hobby, or do you have any plans for it?
My passion for dance started when I was a child. I took a class just for fun, but now it’s something I truly love and can’t imagine my life without. When I’m not dancing something just doesn’t feel right and I’ve always felt a deep connection to music and movement.
Right now it’s just a hobby – a way to express emotions, stay active, connect with people and disconnect from daily life, but who knows – if the right opportunity comes along, I’d love to take it further.
– Regarding fashion, why did you decide to participate in Miss Europe Continental?
Miss Europe Continental felt like a good opportunity to grow, get inspired, challenge myself, step out of comfort zone and just be a part of something that empowers women to shine.
– How do you feel knowing that you will be parading on an international stage together with other Miss from all over the world?
It’s exciting and I feel very responsible to represent not just myself, but also a country and culture I come from.
– How do you see yourself in 10 years?
I’m not exactly sure where I’ll be in 10 years, but I hope to be surrounded by good people, making the right choices, staying healthy, happy and true to myself. I just want to be fulfilled and lucky to be living a life that feels right to me.
