My name is Mariangela Vanalli, and I am honored to represent Miss Europe Continental San Marino. Beyond my work in medical and scientific research, I am deeply involved in the fashion industry as a bridal gown model. I have walked the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival in 2022 and 2024, at Cannes in 2025, and at the prestigious “Prima della Scala” in Milan in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Additionally, I organize events, and my dream is to build an international network connecting Italian designers and beyond, offering visibility to their creations and support to individuals who, given the challenges of the current times, often face significant difficulties.
- What convinced you to take part in the show?
What convinced me to take part in the show was the incredible opportunity to represent elegance, creativity, and cultural heritage on an international stage. I have always been passionate about fashion and the arts, and participating allowed me to showcase not only my dedication to the industry but also to support designers and creators who bring their visions to life. Moreover, the idea of fostering connections between talents across different countries and giving visibility to their work truly inspired me. It was a chance to celebrate beauty, innovation, and perseverance in a meaningful way.
- What advice would you like to share with other participants?
My advice to other participants is to embrace the experience wholeheartedly and stay true to themselves. Confidence, passion, and authenticity will always stand out. - Is there a moment in your life that has particularly marked you?
Throughout life, there are pivotal moments that define who we are, shape our aspirations, and give us a clearer sense of purpose. For me, several experiences have left a lasting imprint—each contributing to my personal and professional growth in unique ways.
One of the most transformative moments was when I realized that my passions for both scientific research and fashion could coexist. For a long time, I felt that I had to choose between the analytical precision of science and the expressive creativity of fashion. However, a project that merged these two fields changed my perspective entirely. It was an initiative where medical advancements were creatively represented through fashion, illustrating how innovation and artistry can complement each other. Seeing how these seemingly unrelated disciplines could intertwine so seamlessly made me realize that I didn’t have to sacrifice one passion for another—instead, I could find ways to merge them in meaningful ways.
Another deeply marking experience was organizing my first major international event. The process was both thrilling and challenging. Bringing together designers, artists, and visionaries from different backgrounds required immense dedication, coordination, and resilience. There were moments of doubt, unexpected setbacks, and countless hurdles along the way. One of my biggest aspirations is to build an international network that connects designers, artists, and visionaries from all backgrounds. I want to create a platform that not only gives visibility to talented individuals but also fosters collaboration between cultures and disciplines. Fashion is much more than aesthetics—it is a means of storytelling, a reflection of history, and a powerful tool to inspire change. By bringing together professionals from various fields, including technology and science, I hope to encourage interdisciplinary projects that push the boundaries of creativity and practicality.
Additionally, I want to use my platform to promote sustainable fashion and ethical production. The world is moving toward more conscious consumerism, and I believe that fashion should not only celebrate artistry but also align with values that respect both people and the environment. Supporting designers who prioritize sustainability and ethical craftsmanship is one of my long-term goals.
On a personal level, I aim to continue growing both as a professional and as an individual. Every experience teaches valuable lessons, and I want to embrace opportunities that challenge me to evolve.
