Dragana Tasevska: Elegance, Determination, and Heart from Macedonia

My name is Dragana Tasevska. I’m 30 years old and I’m from Macedonia. I live in Kumanovo, a small but lovely city. I’m a doctor. I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje-the capital city and now i’m specializing in Medical Biochemistry. Studying medicine has taught me how meaningful it is to help others and improve their health. I feel proud when I can make a positive difference in someone’s life. I also love to travel — I’ve visited many countries and I believe traveling helps people grow, understand other cultures and become more compassionate and open-minded.

– What was it like growing up in Macedonia? What do you love the most about your country?

Growing up in Macedonia was truly wonderful. I had a beautiful childhood filled with love, strong family bonds and great friendships. Family and friendship mean everything to us — we always support each other, both in good times and in difficult moments. Macedonia is a warm and sunny country, not only because of its climate, but also because of its people. Macedonians are kind, open and always ready to welcome others with a smile. I’ve traveled to many countries around the world, but Ohrid will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s a magical city.  Our traditional food is also something I love — rich in flavor and made with love. Macedonia may be small, but it’s full of heart, warmth and beauty.

– How would you describe yourself in three words?

I would describe myself in three words: determined, curiousand caring. I’m determined because I always work hard to achieve my goals, curious because I love learning and discovering new things and caring because I truly enjoy helping others and making a positive difference.

– What part of your personality are you most proud of?

The part of my personality I’m most proud of is that I never give up. I stay focused on my goals and so far, I’ve achieved everything I’ve set out to do. No matter the challenges, I keep pushing forward until I succeed.

– On social media, you always look very polished and creative. What inspires you when creating your content?

I get inspired by my passions and the world around me — places I visit, food, art and everyday moments. I love sharing creativity that connects with people and spreads positivity.

– What role does photography play in your life? Is it just a passion, or also a way to express yourself?
Photography is definitely a big part of my life. It’s not just a passion — it’s a way for me to express myself and capture moments that inspire me. I love taking photos of beautiful places, food, and everyday life… though sometimes it feels like people end up photographing me more than I photograph them!

– What truly makes you happy in your everyday life?
What truly makes me happy in my everyday life is seeing my family happy and healthy and knowing that the people around me are doing well. I also find joy in small everyday moments — a good conversation or helping someone and seeing their smile. It’s the simple things that make life meaningful.

– What is a dream you’ve kept in your heart for a long time?

A dream I’ve kept in my heart for a long time is to make a meaningful impact in the field of medicine and healthcare. I want to use my knowledge and skills to help people live healthier, happier lives. Beyond that, I also dream of traveling even more and experiencing different cultures, because I believe seeing the world helps me grow as a person and inspires new ideas.

– Where do you see yourself in five years? In fashion, entertainment, or somewhere else?

In five years, I see myself continuing to grow in medicine, building my career and making a positive impact in healthcare. But this is my first contest and I’m really enjoying exploring this world — who knows what opportunities it might bring! For now, I’m open to new experiences and learning as much as I can.

– This is your first experience in an international pageant. How are you preparing for Miss Europe Continental, both mentally and physically?
This is my first experience in an international pageant and I’m really excited about it. Mentally, I’m preparing by staying positive, focused and confident in myself, while also learning as much as I can about public speaking, presentation, and stage presence. Physically, I’m maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise, good nutrition and taking care of my overall well-being. I want to bring my best self to the competition, both inside and out.

– What do you want to prove to yourself by stepping on that stage?

By stepping on that stage, I want to prove to myself that I can grow and improve — not just in terms of presentation skills, but also in social confidence and connecting with others. I see this experience as a way to challenge myself, learn and become a stronger, more confident version of myself.

– What is your biggest goal in taking part in Miss Europe Continental?

Since this is my first pageant of this kind, my biggest goal is to have everything go smoothly, meet new people and represent North Macedonia in the best possible light. I’m not coming in with expectations of winning, but who knows, maybe surprises can happen!
