Anisia Gatcan – Miss Europe Continental Moldova 2025!

My name is Anisia, I was born in the Republic of Moldova, I’m 18 years old and currently studying for my bachelor’s degree in Vienna.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Intuitive, versatile and charismatic.

When did your interest in modelling started? Have you always dreamed of doing this or is it a recently born passion?

My interest in being publicly seen and noticed started when I became a singer as a child. I would travel throughout Europe for multiple singing contests I was being invited to, and I’ve grown a particular liking for international shows and being in the spotlight already back then! I’ve only recently gotten more into modelling, specifically when I came to Vienna for my studies. I had strangers tell me countless times I would be perfect for the runway or that I should start modelling for brands, so I thought, why not combine both with Miss Europe Continental?

Do you have other passions besides modelling?

I love music. My whole life ever since I can remember myself has revolved around vocal lessons, playing the piano, taking dance classes for my stage performances and recording songs. Since that always required me to be on the move, I’ve acquired a passion for travelling and discovering new cultures as well. That has brought me to choosing my major in International Relations, since there is no better way of living your international dream and making the best of your intellectual talents other than making a lifestyle out of it. I am very keen on wellness, as of late specifically heated Pilates classes, long walks, clean eating and healing from the inside out. I believe the first thing our physical appearance says about us is the insight on our inner health.

What is the quote you’ll never forget? Why?

“I think, therefore I am” or in Latin – “Cogito Ergo Sum”, by Rene Descartes. It’s especially memorable to me because I have gotten into philosophical books these past years, and I find human psychology particularly fascinating. Beyond the academic, scholarly meanings attributed to this quote, for me it has a more applicable meaning to it, and I find its main message to be about physically co-existing with our minds. I am a true believer of manifestation and adjusting our thoughts according to how we want to materialise them. A big part of my emotional and physical growth I realised through visualising how I want my life to feel like, and living through the prism of dreams and prosperity. That, and patience in their process of coming to life truly is the key to happiness!

How do you feel about the idea of participating in Miss Europe Continental?

It feels like a huge step because I haven’t been involved in modelling before whatsoever. However, it’s the type of exciting fear, the one that motivates you to put your best effort and keeps you up at night, waiting for the amazing experience to happen! I feel a sense of responsibility and blessing, in a way, since I get to represent my country among such a big arena of beautiful women and successful careers. Complete and utter excitement is the best way to describe it!

What advice would you give to other candidates?

“What makes you unique is the same thing that makes you beautiful.” Being inexcusably your true, “no-filter” self is the most divine form of confidence and femininity.

Tell us about your future projects.

I’m not the type of person to plan to the last detail the path I want to take in life. I’ve realised that no matter how figured out we think our lives are, fate will settle in eventually, and being open to every experience and opportunity is the key to tapping into your future. I do, however, plan on making the best out of my youth – enriching my knowledge by studying about subjects I could potentially make a change in the world with, while engaging in hobbies that make me who I am, like singing, travelling and the newest one – modelling. I plan on exploiting my potential to the fullest, and I can’t quite put a label or limit on it, because I strive to excel in every area of life there is, as long as it represents my values and harnesses prosperity!
