Hello everyone, I’m Juliana and I’ll represent Portugal to the 13th edition of Miss Europe Continental.
– How would you describe your personality in three words?
I would describe my personality with the following three words: happy, active and ambitious.
– Who inspires you the most, and why?
I don‘t have a specific person who inspires me, but in general I admire people who have specific goals in life and put the effort in to achieve them. Also, my parents have always done sports. So for me it was just like something normal that is part of life like we have to eat, drink or sleep.
– We know you train regularly. When did your passion for fitness begin?
My passion for fitness started when I turned 19 years old and I wasn‘t happy with how my body looked like at that time. I wanted to look more toned and not just skinny.
– How important is it for you to take care of your body and your health?
For me to take care of my body and my health is one of the most important things in life. If I feel good in my body I can also function better at work and be in a better mood for my family and friends. I started doing different sports (swimming, football, handball, athletics) when I was 5 years old.
– You have already had some experience as a model. How did your interest in modeling begin?
My interest in modeling began when a photographer asked me to do my first photoshoot. I had fun, gained confidence, got better at modelling, more photographers reached out to me and the interest grew from shooting to shooting.
– What do you like most about the fashion industry?
What I like most in the fashion industry is to see all the beautiful women giving their all to follow their dreams, because the fashion industry can be really tough.
– This will be your first beauty pageant. What inspired you to take part?
I got inspired to take part in this beauty contest by one of my father‘s cousin, who was a runway model and also modeled for clothing brands.
– How do you feel about representing Portugal on an international stage?
I feel very honoured to represent Portugal on an international stage. It will definitely be a very marking event in my life.
– What do you expect from your experience at Miss Europe Continental?
From my experience at Miss Europe Continental I expect to open some doors for me in my future modeling career.
– If you had to describe this journey in one word, what would it be, and why?
The word that describes this journey the best is: excitement. I am really excited for the day to come, when I can be on stage and represent Portugal.
– What would you like people to remember about you after the competition?
I would like people to remember about me how positive-minded and ambitious I go through life and to always remember if they go after their dreams (even if at the moment it seems impossible) someday, when they least expect it, they will achieve it.
– What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to be living directly at the beach with a happy and healthy family, gaining my money with model jobs and keep motivating people to look after their health and body or even help them to achieve their fitness goals.
– Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years I see myself married to a supportive husband with the same mindset and with my current goals achieved.
– Finally, what message would you like to share with everyone who will be supporting you from Portugal?
To all the people supporting me from Portugal: I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel very grateful to be representing Portugal where the people are very open, kind, lovely and where the different cities, beaches or even landscapes are places people want to visit from all over the world and the ones who have already been there will always remember these beautiful images.
