Today we meet our finalist Lasma, who will represent Ireland in the next edition of Miss Europe Continental! It’s time to have a look at her story and her personality.
- Tell us more about you, what makes you Lasma Kalnaja?
From an early age, I have always had a passion for making a positive impact on the world around me. My journey toward the beauty pageant began as a dream to empower myself and others. I believe that beauty is not just skin deep but is rooted in confidence, kindness, and the drive to be the best version of oneself. I’m excited for the challenges ahead, and I know that whatever the outcome, I’ll be proud of the journey!
- What do you expect to gain from the experience Miss Europe Continental?
The journey through a beauty pageant is all about pushing boundaries, overcoming fears, and embracing who I am. The preparation and challenges will shape me into a stronger, more resilient person. Being part of an international pageant like Miss Europe Continental connects me with like-minded individuals from all over the world. Through platforms like beauty pageants, social media, and other opportunities, I want to contribute to creating a space where women feel encouraged to embrace their power, break free from societal expectations, and pursue their dreams without limitations.
Above all, I hope to inspire others—particularly young women—to chase their dreams fearlessly and believe in their own worth. I believe this pageant will empower me, as well as the people who watch and follow my journey.
- How would you describe yourself as a person with three adjectives?
I would describe myself with the following three adjectives: Ambitious – I am driven to achieve my dreams and constantly strive for personal and professional growth. I don’t shy away from challenges and always push myself to be better. Compassionate – I care deeply about the well-being of others. Whether it’s through supporting important causes or offering kindness to those around me, I believe in making a positive impact on people’s lives. Resilient – Life can be tough, but I am someone who faces adversity with strength and perseverance. - What does fashion represent to you?
To me, fashion is much more than just clothing or trends; it’s a powerful form of self-expression and an art that allows individuals to communicate their personality, values, and creativity without saying a word. Fashion is a way of telling a story about who you are and how you see the world. It empowers us to feel confident, unique, and comfortable in our own skin.
- You have a lot of hobbies, and I noticed you have passion for the sport Kangoo Jumps, how did you get into it?
Yes, I absolutely have a passion for Kangoo Jumps, and it’s been an exciting and energizing part of my life! I first discovered 𝙆𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙊𝙊 𝘾𝙇𝙐𝘽 𝘿𝙐𝘽𝙇𝙄𝙉 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙊𝙉𝙊𝙍𝘼 when I was looking for a fun and unique way to stay active while also enjoying the benefits of a full-body workout. My first session was a mix of excitement and challenge. The shoes felt a bit unfamiliar at first, but as soon as I got the hang of the rhythm, I felt like I was defying gravity! The joy of bouncing and the feeling of lightness was incredibly addictive and I fell in love with it.
- From your Instagram content it seems that you have a lot of self-confidence, are you always comfortable in front of camera?
I think it’s important to acknowledge that confidence doesn’t mean perfection—it’s about accepting yourself, flaws included, and owning your unique qualities. For me, being comfortable in front of the camera has become about expressing my true self and focusing on the message I want to share, rather than on how others might perceive me.
- Tell us about your future projects.
Looking ahead, I have several exciting projects and aspirations that I’m deeply passionate about, both personally and professionally. Miss Europe Continental is an incredible opportunity for me to showcase my values, winning is not just about the crown for me—it’s about the platform to inspire others and grow as a person. Since fitness has become such a central part of my life, I want to take my passion for health and wellness to the next level. My goal is to not only inspire but to provide practical advice that people can incorporate into their own lives. Giving back has always been important to me, and I’m committed to supporting causes that are close to my heart. Whether it’s through charitable donations, hosting events, or using my platform to raise awareness, I’m eager to make a tangible difference in the world.
Overall, my future projects are focused on growth, empowerment, and creating meaningful connections with others. Every step of the way, I want to stay true to myself and inspire those around me to do the same. I’m incredibly excited for what’s to come and all the opportunities that lie ahead!
