‘’My name is Denise Paalvast and I proudly announce that I’m representing my beautiful country The Netherlands this year. I’m born and raised nearby the city The Hague. I think to present my country in Miss Europe Continental 2025 is an amazing oppurtunity to show the world who I am. Since I was a little girl I always said the world is bigger then only our small country and we can do so much to stand out for. That little girl had a lot of dreams, one of them was to shine on a big stage and will be reality this November 3 days after my 35th birthday.
In my daily life I work as an accountmanager in accountancy where I am a strategic partner for offices in The Netherlands to use software to increase their processes. Yes, i’m a beauty with brains. Also I do modelling because I love to stand for the camera, this year I will even participate in a televisionproduction for Amazon prime. In my free time my passion is sports, I do fitness, kickboxing, pilates and yoga. At this moment I’m very focussed on foods, what is healthy and what is really good for the body. When I’m interested in something or when I go for something I will do that for 1000%, so at this moment I’m reading and studying everything about food. All of my foods I buy at farmersplaces to be sure it is really fresh and doesn’t contain toxic additionals. On the other hand my worst flaw is that I’m a perfectionist, I want to do everything as good as possible so I forget sometimes what is important and not. Eventhough I’m a Dutch girl, timing is an issue in my proces to be perfect.
For me the most inspiring woman are the woman who are succesfull by working hard. In The Netherlands we have woman as Yolanthe Cabau and Sylvie Meis, international a big example for me is Jennifer Lopez. Beautiful woman who are dedicated with their workouts, looks and good character and who have accompliced so much even though it is not given.
In my life I have the same feeling, I really had issues with al opinions of everyone based on false rumours. I’m marked by a really bad relationship where love was only given on my looks what ended in a voilence situation. I was full of bruises but I was broken on the fact that he lied to me about everything for 7 months just because my presentation was his boy’s dream. It’s hard when you have a lot to offer but someone who should be close to you does not want to know your personality to love.
Unfortunately I have a lot of people in my life who will support me with my dreams and they love me for who I am. I’m talking about my family and friends, they really make me happy. I think happiness is being loved by your loved ones and make good memories with them. To take the moments that are given and enjoy them on its fullest.
A phase I will never forget is ‘Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart’. I’m very inspired by the quotes of Marcus Aurelius because for me they give you the right lines to think about what is important and give a direction to your mind. You cannot control everything in life and pick only the pieces you want, sometimes God will send you other things that with the right purpose can bring you some much more. You will accomplish everything you want if you do it with all your passion from your heart.
I never expected that God would bring me to Naples to shine on stage of Miss Europe Continental to respresent my country. It gives me so much positive energy, confirmation, self esteem and honor. I can’t wait till November to be on stage. I’m so excited about the show, the beautiful dresses and to see the city of Naples.
The beautiful dresses and fashion in particular for me represent femineity and character. By fashion you can express yourself and show your feminine energy.
In life and also in my job is the way you look and the way you dress the first impression, so important. On the other hand can fashion make you feel better, I always feel good in clothes that fit perfectly it gives me good energy.
In 10 years I hope I haven’t changed much on the outside, I work hard to ripe like a good quality of wine. Personal development is very important to me, I think it is good to always be learning about your own strengths and weaknesses. This is a path that always give you challenges.
My biggest wish is to become a mother of 2 children, I hope that I can accomplish that in 10 years. ‘’
