Let’s read the interview of our Miss Lauren:
‘’ My name is Lauren French, and I have the honour of representing Ireland at the Miss Europe Continental 2025 Edition. I would describe myself as energetic, determined, and genuine. I’m currently completing a Master’s in Digital Marketing at Maynooth University while working with brands on creative marketing collaborations and modelling. Both of which have been an incredible journey of growth, creativity and self-discovery. In my free time, I love spending time with my puppy Trooper, who reminds me that unconditional love and joy are always present, no matter how busy life gets. I also enjoy being with my family, going for walks, dancing, and training at Sligo Combat Academy. Exploring new places and cultures constantly inspires me and reminds me how big and beautiful the world truly is. My best quality is determination. when I set my mind to something, I give it everything I have. My biggest flaw is that I can be a perfectionist and sometimes overthink things, but I’m learning every day to slow down, trust the process and embrace life’s natural flow.
My biggest inspiration has always been my mother. She’s taught me the importance of kindness, hard work, and staying true to yourself no matter what. From a young age, she encouraged me to explore my passions and gave me the chance to try everything, from playing musical instruments to horse riding. Her belief in me has shaped the person I am today. She always told me to follow my dreams and never let anything or anyone hold me back — advice that continues to guide every decision I make.
The moment I decided to move across the country to pursue my college degree. It was a huge step from leaving home, balancing part-time work, and stepping into independence for the first time. That experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and courage. It was the first time I truly realised that life begins at the edge of your comfort zone.
Happiness, for me, is waking up to my dog licking my face, being surrounded by the people and pets I love, and feeling truly content and grateful for the present — for having a loving family, a roof over my head, and the simple blessings that make life beautiful. It’s also about knowing I’m growing toward my goals while appreciating how far I’ve already come. To me, happiness is peace of mind and being proud of who you are and where you’re headed.
A quote I’ll never forget is, ‘To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment,’ by Ralph Waldo Emerson. In today’s world, we often feel pressure to be or look a certain way, but this quote reminds me that true beauty comes from authenticity. The greatest strength is embracing who you are, your values, your heart, and your journey, without apology. I can proudly say that staying true to myself is what has brought me here today.
I feel truly honoured and deeply grateful to stand among so many inspiring and talented women from across the continent. This experience is a beautiful opportunity to represent my country, to grow as an individual, and to create memories that will last a lifetime. I hope to show that ambition and kindness can walk hand in hand, and to inspire others with that message. After all, I’m just a young woman from Sligo, on the west coast of Ireland, who has made it here today.
Fashion, to me, is more than what we wear it’s how we tell our story without words. It represents self-expression, confidence, and individuality, allowing me to show who I am and who I’m becoming. Through fashion, I’ve learned to embrace my uniqueness and celebrate the beauty in diversity. I believe fashion is a universal language that connects people and cultures, reminding us that beauty has no single definition. To me, true beauty shines through authenticity — when what you wear reflects not only your style, but your heart.
In ten years, I see myself as a woman who has found and fulfilled her purpose, whatever path that may take. I hope to continue growing, learning, and using my voice to inspire other women to believe in themselves and chase their dreams fearlessly. I want to help show that success isn’t defined by titles or status, but by happiness, authenticity, and the difference you make in others’ lives. My goal is to look back and know that I’ve lived with passion, kindness, and purpose while also encouraging others to do the same.
My wish would be for everyone to find the courage to chase their dreams, no matter how big or small because that’s where true happiness begins. I also wish that every person can grow to recognise the beauty and purpose within themselves, knowing that they are loved, valued, and capable of extraordinary things.’’
