"Hello my name is Dominika Barisova and I am delighted to introduce myself and share my interests to you all. I’m 20 years old and during Miss Europe Continental I will be 21.

I was born in Bratislava, Slovakia, and I have been living in the UK since the age of three.

During the beginning of my Academy year, I studied cabin crew, travel & tourism, and art & design.

With mental health being my current course, I want to achieve a developed knowledge of this topic to be able to mentally support the people around me and the general society.

1. What do you expect from the Miss Europe Continental?

In my participation in Miss Europe Continental I want to get experience to become discovered. Not just by representing my country, but to also represent the diversity & equality of beauty. What I mean by this is showing the world that beauty comes from within, regardless of health status.  Since I have a condition called multiple sclerosis, I want to prove to the public that no matter what disability you may have, it should never stop you from pursuing your dreams and ambitions. Whether your condition is visible or invisible (like mine).

I expect to motivate and inspire during my presence and further…

2. What advice would you give to other candidates?

Believe in yourself! You are braver than you think you are, so don’t humble yourself.

I would also definitely advise every participant to stick to being themselves because it’s our unique individuality that makes us so beautiful. So always be your own character. We’ve worked hard to get to where we are now, so it's the time to show our true potential!

3. Tell us about your future projects

In my life I have had and still have many dreams that I will realize in the course of my life.

However my two most focused goals in life are to become a successful & well-published model, which I’m determined to become despite my height and condition.

Along with becoming discovered in the fashion modelling industry I plan to create a mental health supporting network. Especially for the people living with the same condition as me.

To one day hold a M.S community to inspire the world."
