‘’Hello there! My name is Leyla Ikar

I was born in Switzerland and live in Basel. I am 27 years old. My roots come from Somalia. I have three brothers and am the only daughter in the family. I trained as a fashion consultant at GUESS and worked in this profession for 5 years. Fashion and beauty interested me very much even as a child. In 2017 I got a rare eye disease and was 40kg more than I am now. At that time, my wind wanted to blow in the other direction. I had made a conscious decision and wanted to get rid of my overweight and lack of energy. So I started my whole life with sports and changed my diet.

After my incredible transformation, I was asked on the street in Baselstadt if I wanted to be a model. I was very surprised and immediately agreed, then came numerous model bookings and I was booked more and more for advertising.

 At the moment I am a nutrition coach and personal trainer for clients. I have become self-employed as a nutritionist and would like to help everyone to have a healthy and powerful lifestyle. I want to show everyone that giving up is not an option, that you are able to change something in your life if you really want to. It's never too late to let beauty blossom from within. Every woman is beautiful and that's what I want to show in this contest.
